Hudson Control Group has declared that the company has included a new functionality to its highly successful product Hudson SOLO High Resolution Liquid Dispenser. The new functionality can handle up to 10 syringes with different bore sizes at a time to support dispensing volumes ranging from <1 µL to >10mL, all on the similar unit.
The SOLO robotic liquid dispenser is comparatively cheaper than its counterpart and is capable of executing plate replications, cherry picking, DNA transformations and serial dilutions. It features a peristaltic pump as an option to perform high speed tip washing that reduces cycle time when compared to conventional washing with a syringe pump.
The robotic liquid dispenser has a footprint area of 355mm x 400mm that can be fixed effortlessly on bio-safety cabinets, lab bench tops and into standard fume hoods. It offers non-contact dispensing into slides and micro plates as it is well suited with 1536-, 384-, 96- and 24- well plate formats and has an extensive dynamic array and the capacity to handle reactions in a germ-free environment.
The SOLO is completely adaptable with various robot-loading systems that comprise Plate Crane EX from Hudson Control. It can be stacked and operated by hand. It is also compatible with Hudson Control LabLinx high throughput track system for incomparable high output.
The SoftLinx software from Hudson Control Group simplifies the integration of the SOLO with most automated equipment and other robots. If an interface to particular lab equipment is not included in the Soft Linx, the Hudson Control team will create a new interface for that instrument. The SoftLinx will correspond with each device through a serial port from the computer and has its unique easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI).
