Robots Shoot and Dunk Basketballs at Stanford University

Students in Mechanical Engineering 210 spent most of winter quarter learning about mechanics, electronics and computer programming.

After time in the classroom, they integrated everything they had learned to design and build a robot for the ultimate final project. This year's competition, held in front of a large, cheering crowd, featured bots that shoot and dunk as many "basketballs" as possible in under two minutes.
