Valmie Resources, a technology solutions company that brings to market state-of-the-art products for rapid commercialization, announces the prototype of its advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is nearing completion and poised to take to the skies.
Valmie’s feature-rich multi-rotor V-1 Drone will have an array of capabilities that will focus on commercial applications as the private sector continues to buzz over the possibility of an exploding $82 billion commercial UAV market in the U.S.
“As U.S. regulators phase in commercial drone flights this year, the future of the UAV industry is exciting, and will continue to expand globally as additional markets open,” said Gerald B. Hammack, President and CEO of Valmie. “Our prototype will have many advanced features that will appeal to a wide variety of industries such as open-air mining operations, search and rescue missions, and agricultural applications.”
Valmie’s V-1 Drone features include:
- An advanced sensor array, increasing flight precision and potential uses straight off the shelf.
- Substantial power-to-weight ratio that will carry most types of sensor packages with room to spare.
- Total control over every aspect of flight and mission planning while being able to customize for specific applications.
- Multi-platform interaction with a variety of systems.
- Powerful Lithium batteries that will increase flight times, exceeding anything currently on the market.
In the U.S. alone, the drone industry stands to generate $82 billion in economic activity in the decade after national airspace is opened, according to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, a trade group. Valmie plans to operate in this exploding market, supplying leading-edge unmanned vehicles with fully integrated ground control software and cloud services for commercial applications throughout the world.
