Seedonk, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based vision-as-a-service for video care monitoring, today announced that the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has selected its KODAK Baby Monitoring System as a 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree. The annual competition honors outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.
The KODAK Baby Monitoring System, available in early 2015, re-imagines the baby monitoring application, empowering a new generation of mobile-centric parents to care for and tend to what matters most in their lives.
The modularized system, marrying innovative design and function, was built to meet the growing needs of today’s families. A beautifully designed base unit incorporating wood design serves as the hub for the application, providing crystal-clear two-way digital audio monitoring. To add video monitoring, parents can simply attach the portable HD Wi-Fi camera with in-app pan/tilt/zoom capabilities to the base unit via USB port.
For enhanced levels of care monitoring, integrated crib and door sensor technology may be added for detecting movement and tracking infants’ sleeping patterns, as well as ambient temperature, to give parents additional insights into the wellbeing of their children.
The KODAK Baby Monitoring System is powered by Seedonk’s immersive smartphone and tablet app. With real-time, intelligent notifications and anytime, anywhere access, the app enables local and remote monitoring via the parent unit or mobile device.
“The KODAK Baby Monitoring System brings true innovation to a category that has remained unchanged for decades; as a result, we’re honored to be recognized by the CEA,” said Herman Yau, Seedonk Co-founder and CEO. “Nothing is more important than the wellbeing of our children. We’ve designed a baby monitor application for today’s parents that sets the bar in the category for years to come.”
