China SHESAYS Medical Cosmetology, which runs a chain of medical cosmetology hospitals, skincare centers and clinics in Sichuan province, China, has become the first medical cosmetology firm to deploy the CEREC AC porcelain teeth 3D restoration robot at its hospital in Chengdu.
The CEREC AC robot takes high-quality images of teeth conditions using an intense blue light emitting diode and CEREC Bluecam technology. The system offers quick, simple imaging outputs in dental accuracy and durability when compared to conventional methods.
The dental restoration robot is anticipated to modify the current operating model of dental restoration by eradicating processors from the value chain. Thus, it creates a direct communication between hospitals and customers. This also avoids communication gap between the customers and processors. In addition, the robot eliminates incidence of return work because of unsuitable occlusion or incompatible sizes of teeth, which are common in conventional methods.
The CEREC AC robot’s salient feature is its ability to create a porcelain tooth in an hour, while in traditional method it takes one week. The firm anticipates that the deployment of the robot will increase its customer count for teeth restoration by 100 within a year. China SHESAYS had spent $181,000 for the purchase of the dental restoration robot. The company expects about $6,000 in revenue per patient, on an average.
