Hollysys Automation Technologies to Supply High-Speed Rail Signaling System

China-based automation and control applications and technologies provider, Hollysys Automation Technologies has secured about US$ 33.63 million supply contract for its ground-based high-speed rail signaling system for Beijing-Shijiazhuang-Wuhan high-speed rail line.

According to the agreement, Hollysys will deliver and install its ground-based high-speed rail signaling system that comprises Line Side Electronic Units (LEU), Train Control Centers (TCC) and other supplementary devices. The delivery and installation are expected to be from March to October 2011.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hollysys, Dr. Changli Wang commented that the contract would strengthen the position of the company in the high-speed rail industry. Beijing-Shijiazhuang-Wuhan high-speed rail line is the northern part of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail line and considered as one of the main routes of China's high-speed rail network. The rail line is extended to 1,200 km, with a traveling speed of 350 km/h. The southern part of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail line connects Wuhan and Guangzhou, and has a total length of 1,068 km. It has put into commercial operation in December 2009.
