Alrad to Serve as Distributor for Coherent’s Machine Vision Systems

Alrad has declared that it has made a contract with Coherent to serve as an official British Isles distributor of Coherant’s Lasiris lasers, which are used in several machine vision applications.

SNF laser is part of the Lasiris family providing ordered patterns of light like single and multiple laser lines with consistency down to ±15%. Working distance and fan angle can be customized as per the requirements of the application. SNF laser differs from traditional lasers in terms of consistency of the illumination design.

Lasiris lasers feature an optical line generator to avoid Gaussian light distribution, offering the most homogenous laser lines. The layout facilitates easy installation and detector standardization. These lasers can be deployed for a broad range of image assessing applications like three dimensional profiling and mapping, accurate surface investigation and web monitoring.
