Robotics Qualifying Competition at University of Texas at Dallas

The regional qualifying round for the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League (FLL) competition will be hosted by The Science and Engineering Education Center of the University of Texas at Dallas.

In this robotics competition, teams will present and manoeuvre their LEGO Mindstorms constructed robots in an attempt to qualify for the North Texas Regional Tournament.

Founded in 1989, FIRST encourages young people's interest and participation in science and technology. FLL introduces children ages 9]14 to real]world engineering challenges by building LEGO]based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. Teamsf performance is adjudged on the basis of how well their robots complete the tasks given. Teamwork, robot design, and a research project based on the yearfs theme are also criteria for judging.

Since The UT Dallas campus is undergoing a significant amount of construction, guests for this competition have been advised to look up its campus map for updated route, construction, and parking information.
