Fugro Declares Acquisition of RUE

Fugro has declared the acquisition of Riise Underwater Engineering (RUE), the supplier of Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) as well as diving services to oil and gas segment, by the end of 2010. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

RUE supports monitoring, repair, maintenance and subsea construction operations. Presently, the company deploys a couple of exclusively designed ships in West Africa and an inshore cruise in Norway. Both these vessels include observation and work categories of ROVs as well as several modular diving devices.

It was reported that the new name of RUE will be Fugro-RUE  and this company will be a subsidiary of Subsea Services Business Line of Fugro. The management of RUE will continue their services as Fugro-RUE.
