Panasonic AA batteries Power Evolta Robot

Panasonic has developed the Evolta robot for validating the efficiency of Panasonic AA batteries. The Evolta robot has a built-in wheel, enabling the robot to walk.

12 AA batteries were included in the Evolta and the robot started from Tokyo and moved around Jepang, covering a distance of 500 km. It was reported that Evolta will travel for another two months.

The company has mentioned that the global requirement of batteries will increase rapidly. In 2009, the demand of batteries was reported to be USD29 billion and is likely to increase up to USD38 billions by the end of this year. It is expected that the requirement of batteries will attain USD 61 billion.

The requirement for lithium battery is likely to increase by three to five times in another ten years. It was reported that clients prefer electronic products since they are eco-friendly.
