Design Automation Conference Names Members of 51st DAC Industry Liaison Committee

The Design Automation Conference (DAC), the premier conference devoted to the design and automation of electronic systems, has named the members of the 51st DAC Industry Liaison Committee (ILC). These volunteers advise the DAC Executive Committee as it plans the trade show component of DAC. The 51st DAC will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California from June 1-5, 2014.

“DAC is the premier meeting place for the electronic design ecosystem to learn about and discuss new research, products, methodologies, and developments in the industry,” said Brett Cline, Industry Liaison Committee Chair. “We have a team of extraordinarily talented individuals volunteering their time and representing the views of exhibitors and attendees. As a group, we are dedicated to ensuring that the exhibit floor is a success for everyone who joins us in San Francisco.”

ILC Members

The ILC is made up of representatives from a balanced cross-section of the industry. ILC representatives serve as liaisons to various constituencies at DAC by proactively communicating and soliciting input to help drive an event that benefits all exhibitors and attendees. Members of the 2014 DAC ILC include:

  • Bob Smith, Uniquify
  • Dagmar Lambrecht, Cadence Design Systems
  • David Thon, Cadence Design Systems
  • Diana Dearin, Mentor Graphics
  • Graham Bell, Real Intent
  • Herta Schreiner, Synopsys
  • Michelle Clancy, Cayenne Communication
  • Mike Gianfagna, eSilicon
  • Mike Munsey, Dassault Systemes
  • Pippa Slayton, Oski Technology
  • Robert Gardner, EDA Consortium
  • Rob van Blommestein, Jasper Design Automation
  • Susie Horn, MP Associates
  • Tom Quan, TSMC

Exhibitor Informational Meeting

The ILC will hold a meeting to give DAC exhibitors a quick snapshot on what to expect for the 51st DAC. The main focus will be on logistics, event changes, new initiatives and plans and exhibitor promotional opportunities. The ILC wants feedback on the 51st DAC plans and on how to improve the DAC experience for exhibitors and attendees. Topics on the agenda are:

  • Update on 51st DAC
    • Event logistics
    • Hotel/city information
    • New for 2014
    • Technical program
    • Marketing and promotions
  • Exhibitor ROI
  • Exhibitor feedback/Q&A

Representing DAC will be Brett Cline, Industry Liaison Committee Chair, and representatives from the DAC Executive Committee and the Industry Exhibitor Liaison Committee.

The DAC Exhibitor Informational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 20 (in conjunction with ICCAD) from 10:00am to noon in the San Carlos room at the San Jose Hilton Hotel, 300 Almaden Boulevard, San Jose, CA. This meeting is open to anyone who is a current exhibitor or plans to exhibit at DAC.

About DAC

The Design Automation Conference (DAC) is recognized as the premier event for the design of electronic circuits and systems and for electronic design automation (EDA) and silicon solutions. Since 1964, a diverse worldwide community of many thousands of professionals has attended DAC. They include system designers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers, CAD managers, senior managers and executives as well as researchers and academicians from leading universities. Close to 60 technical sessions selected by a committee of electronic design experts offer information on recent developments and trends, management practices and new products, and methodologies and technologies. A highlight of DAC is its exhibition and suite area featuring leading and emerging EDA, silicon, intellectual property (IP) automotive, security and design services providers. The conference is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDA Consortium), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is supported by ACM's Special Interest Group on Design Automation (ACM SIGDA).

Design Automation Conference acknowledges trademarks or registered trademarks of other organizations for their respective products and services.
