ING Robotic Aviation will be showcasing their small vertical take off and landing (VTOL) robotic aircraft, Responder, at the 2013 TFI World Fertilizer Conference.
The TFI World Conference is an annual event that takes place this year from September 22-24, 2013 at Le Centre Sheraton Montréal in Montréal and at Sous-station de recherché de L’Acadie in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. The conference welcomes over 800 delegates from over 60 countries and focuses on the global challenges facing the fertilizer industry.
ING Robotic Aviation will be demonstrating the capabilities of the Responder as a part of the 2013 World Fertilizer Conference Agricultural Tour. The tour is a free, one-day event with the conference that will take participants through a variety of farming, research and processing facilities in the St. Lawrence River Valley.
Delegates and media are asked to attend ING’s demonstration at 4:30pm on September 25, 2013. The demonstration will take place at Sous-station de recherché de L’Acadie in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Additionally, live online updates of the demonstration will be posted on the company’s social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Robotic aircraft play an integral role in providing solutions for the agriculture industry. ING’s Responder has the ability to perform remote sensing while carrying a multispectral camera that allows landowners to view the vegetation of their plants and crops from an aerial perspective.
In addition to the multispectral camera, the flexibility of the Responder allows for it to be fitted with multiple sensors (up to 5kg) to serve different applications. Not only does the use of these aircraft reduce footprint and risk to human life, it also reduces the costs associated with the monitoring of vast areas of land. ING Robotic Aviation is working to get the right information, into the right hands, in a timely manner for the agriculture industry.
