TechNZ to Develop Next Version of Robotic Exoskeleton

TechNZ, a business investment division of Foundation for Research, Science & Technology (FRST), has received a $1.63 million worth grant from Rex Bionics for developing the next version of the robotic exoskeleton archetype, which was developed exclusively to support physically challenged people. Rex Bionics will procure this exoskeleton.

TechNZ has reported that with the help of this grant they can outshine any sort of challenge imposed on them and their robotic legs have received global recognition after its launch in July 2010. Also the latest version will be termed as Mark II version.

Previous funds of Rex Bionics to TechNZ include $111,000 in 2007 and $1.12 million in 2008.
