MDG Medical to Shift Pharmacy Automation, R+D Unit to Ohio

MDG Medical, a global leader in pharmacy automation technology systems and software, has declared that its Israel-based Research and Development unit will be relocated to Aurora, Ohio, by March 31, 2011.

It was reported that the electromechanical assembly operations at the new facility will be instigated either at the end of next year or in the beginning of 2012.

In January 2010 the corporate headquarters of MDG Medical was shifted to the new office in Ohio. Till then, the company was functional in both these locations. Mark Saffran, President and CEO of MDG Medical, has stated that they had decided on a right move for their company and they are determined to offer products of reliable quality to their clients, enhancing their delivery network and also making their business procedures easy. He added that this decision of relocation was required to support their initiatives to enhance customer service, effective utilization of resources and reduce cost-overhead. He also mentioned that the workforce in the new facility will be increased by additional 20-30 new engineers from programming, manufacturing and hardware background.
