With the continuing work of Quantum International in innovating revolutionary robotics, the market advances towards more convenient and compact robots that are capable of working alongside humans without replacing them.
According to Quantum CEO Robert Federowicz, industrial robotics relies on small manufacturers. The company is now investigating the creation of compact, safer assembly line robots. These new machines can get the right interface from Smartphones and tablets like the Apple iPad.
This highly versatile and cost-effective generation of robots will enable the U.S. to reclaim its manufacturing jobs. As a result, there is no need for outsourcing difficult, repetitive tasks in the development of electronics like smartphones and laptops to low-economy countries.
Federowicz further commented that the advancement of industrial robots is reflected in iRobot’s Roomba, when compared to the existing one-armed giants welding cars. Quantum is now focusing on investing in such impending advances.
Quantum is now discussing definitive agreement with a prestigious European robotics developer, Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurement (PIAP). PIAP partnership will enable Quantum to unleash billions in potential revenues in the rapidly growing robotics industry, where 5,556 robots of $403.1 M value were sold to companies in North America during the Q2 of 2012, which is an increase of 14% in units and 28% in dollars sold over the same period in 2011.
Quantum International will continue to develop advanced robotics technology to compete in the growing global industry alongside Medtronic, Intuitive Surgical, iRobot, and Dover.
