Rockwell Develops ControlLogix to Handle Kuka’s PA Robots

Rockwell, in partnership with Kuka, has developed a new controller termed as ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs), which can effectively control PA robots of Kuka. This product will be showcased at the Pack Expo event, which will be held in Chicago.

This innovation offers an open design featuring single programming environment termed as RSLogix 5000 as well as one PAC for handling an entire robot. The company has reported that the new controller will offer high productivity throughout the life cycle of the robot and the controlling parts are well optimized for providing simplified automation layout. It also features an established user-machine interface.

James Cooper, Kuka’s VP for Sales and Marketing in the US, expressed happiness over providing the world’s first integrated controller. He added that this innovation was accomplished by means of a combined robotic technology that enabled ControlLogix of Rockwell to control Kuka’s PA robot.
