Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH) is all set to host a fundraiser event with golf celebrities, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. The event titled "An Exclusive Evening with Golf Legends" will be hosted on September 17, 2012 on behalf of TEGH’s Robotic Prostate Cancer Surgery Program and HELP Campaign.
"An Exclusive Evening with Golf Legends" will extend a rare opportunity to interact with two of the leading golfers Arnold Palmer, "The King" and Jack Nicklaus, "The Golden Bear". This event can be attended only by those who have been invited. Around 80 to 100 guests who are contributors to the TEGH fundraising initiative will take part it in this special event, which will take place at a private home in Toronto.
Funds being collected in this event will support the September 2011-established TEGH's Robotic Prostate Cancer Surgery Program.
Being a successful prostate cancer survivor, Arnold Palmer has an impressive personal connection with this initiative. This golf legend has achieved 10 Senior PGA Tour wins, 62 PGA Tour wins, and a spot in the World Golf Hall of Fame that complements his many accomplishments.
Participants in this event will have rare opportunities like taking part in a 'fireside chat', close interaction with Palmer and Nicklaus, photo session with the golfers and an autographed collector's item.
The TEGH Robotic Prostate Cancer Surgery Program forms a part of TEGH’s overall renovation and expansion target. TEGH Foundation's present capital campaign drives this initiative with a $211 M capital redevelopment project with a strong focus in establishing a new eight-floor patient care centre in North America.
During early 2012, $3-M dollars were raised by TEGH as part of this project during a celebrity-studded event on April 12, 2012 with Will Arnett, Jerry Seinfeld, and Amy Poehler.
