Quantum International, a developing robotics company is preparing to capitalize on a new robotics initiative led by the existing administration. This initiative supports the US target on the current election-year issues.
During the end of June 2012, the National Robotics Initiative was introduced by the president, who assured granting $70 M in government money to enable rapid development and implementation of co-robotics. Co-robotics is a group of robots capable of working in sync with humans. Joint solicitation for offering research funds for next-generation robotics has been granted by four federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Agriculture, and NASA.
With this new initiative, Quantum can investigate the potential commercialization of new innovations in various potential fields of robotics. Recently, the company signed a letter of intent to initiate due diligence toward a potential joint venture with the Europe-based Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP), located in Warsaw, Poland.
According to Quantum CEO Robert Federowicz, the company has already been exploring potentially beneficial opportunities in industrial as well as tactical robotics. Quantum has been inspired by this new federal support for co-robotics and anticipates that this initiative will enable the domestic robotics economy to reach new heights. At present, the company is looking out for potential partners who will assist the company in the development and commercialization of new co-robotics innovations with ability create revolution in American society.
Quantum International anticipates witnessing rapid developments and works with leading robotics companies such as AeroVironment, Honda Motor, and in near future with Apple.
