By partnering with Texas-based Vanguard Defense Industries, ISR Group carried out a flight demonstration of the ShadowHawk unmanned aerial vehicle on June 22, at the Laredo Fire/Public Safety International Training Facility.
City of Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas and Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-Laredo) attended this demonstration to recognize ShadowHawks’ potential for incorporating it in first responder support and homeland security missions.
According to Congressman Cuellar, owing to the growing emergence of technology, the government, first responders, and law enforcement agencies need to be familiar with the latest, advanced, state-of-the-art tools that are available. Unmanned aerial vehicles serve to be effective tools that will enable emergency responders to have better control over inadequate resources and manpower.
ISR Group President, Mr. Alvin Jackson said that the company is honored to receive encouragement from renowned personalities like Mayor Raul Salinas and Congressman Henry Cuellar, on UAVs advancement for domestic uses. This event is a key step to impart the capabilities of UAVs among the country’s leaders to provide better security services.
ISR Group is a well-established service station that provides ground robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, and underwater inspection and recovery services for commercial clients as well as government, thereby delivering quality unmanned systems services and training to a wide range of UAV manufacturers. The Vanguard-made ShadowHawk is capable of efficient operation in adverse weather conditions. It enables first responders and homeland security officials to carry out safe and economical emergency missions. It extends live-streaming information at either higher altitudes of up to 700 ft or low altitudes for in depth inspections.
