Olaeris’ Newly Introduced AEVA UAS Supports Fire, Police and Rescue Personnel

Olaeris, recently launched AEVA, a new specifically designed VTOL Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) that is effective for domestic emergency responders such as police, fire and rescue workers.

During 911 emergencies, this specifically designed UAS will be the first response aerial vehicle to arrive prior to ground personnel, resulting in improved safety and increased manpower.

In contrast to drones, AEVA, based on robotic intelligence can predict its surroundings to automatically change its direction. Robotic intelligence therefore enables AEVA to safely navigate and operate across over-populated areas. Through its effective sensing capability, AEVA can avoid other aircraft in addition to detecting obstacles like buildings, trees, and people at lower altitudes. Sensor data is analyzed by onboard processors followed by automatic adjustment of the flight path to avoid collision. Since 2009, the project has been under conceptual design and development before being recently unveiled.

AEVA is an autonomous robotic system, being controlled by a remote human pilot. Immediately after receiving a 911 call, AEVA automatically takes flight instantly in just a few seconds and lands within 90 seconds at any emergency location. The fire, rescue and police personnel can quickly analyze the scene and predict the situation while en-route using this novel UAS. Over the last 2 years, police and fire fighters have delivered current feedback on design revisions that will contribute to better operation potentials.

According to Olaeris CEO, Ted Lindsley, AEVA is a convenient and economic tool that will safeguard the lives of people besides keeping their property secure without encroaching on the privacy and surveillance issues of the public.

Following the analysis of the budgetary savings, customers from across several Cities and counties anticipate early installation sites of deploying the AEVA system. Olaeris creates a nationwide installation schedule and planning logistics for better customer service.
