On June 30th, Tri-City Wellness Center will host a Health & Wellness Robotics Expo to demonstrate the recent, innovative advances in robotic surgery.
Two innovative technologies such as Mazor Renaissance Surgical Systems and the da Vinci will be exhibited, where visitors can interact with the doctors and try their hands on robotic technology.
The da Vinci is effective for gynecological and urological and heart treatments. Tri-City is one of the west coast hospitals that offer da Vinci-based single-site robotic surgery. Specifically designed for gallbladder removal, this system enables surgeons to minimize traditional incisions from four to one. Belly button incision less than 1-in length has also been achieved with this system.
Tri-City is San Diego County’s unique hospital to provide Mazor Renaissance-based spinal surgery. Mazor enables the surgeon to upload a pre-op CT scan within the system’s software component. It allows fabricating blueprint for the surgery, enabling placement of screws and implants with finest accuracy.
Tri-City led advancement with the Mazor, through which surgeons can validate placement of the screws during surgery. This system poses minimal x-ray radiation for surgeon as well as the patient.
Robotic surgery provides minimally invasive procedures for patients, wherein small incision-treatments can be achieved. Robot-assisted surgical procedure is rapid, making fewer traumas to the patient. It ensures minimal risk of infection, and speedy recovery.
The Tri-City Laser & Aesthetics Center will also provide free massages on June 30th, with free laser demos, where visitors can win spa products and other services. Furthermore, the cardiac rehab staff will offer free heart monitoring and blood pressure screenings.
