At IMTS 2012 titled “Success in Manufacturing”, visitors at SCHUNK booth will be benefited through the demonstration of SCHUNK’s premium gripper range with multi-tooth guidance.
SCHUNK developed the multi-tooth guidance based on the principle ‘spreading the load across many shoulders’. A multiple prismatic guidance arranged in parallel ensures the performance of guidance tasks in parallel and centric grippers. However, classical Tslots are not used for this task. This allows the moments and forces to be distributed across multiple guiding areas. The guidance results in increased load capacity. Longer gripper fingers can be employed and proper care is taken to avoid overloading the guidance. Surface pressure can be dramatically reduced with added guiding areas. The multi-tooth guidance provides minimal guidance play that will extend all through the gripper's service life.
SCHUNK has been achieving targets with the PGN-plus gripper for more than ten years. This PGN-plus gripper ensures increased handling precision and efficiency. Based on Multi-Tooth Guidance, the PGN-plus 2-finger parallel gripper combined with the PZN-plus 3-finger centric gripper serves to the finest quality offering among SCHUNK premium range of gripping modules.
The premium gripper range ensures superior flexibility and serves an extensive spectrum of applications.
SCHUNK provides DPG-plus 2-finger and DPZ-plus 3-finger sealed version and the PGB-plus parallel as well as PZB-plus centric gripper including a center bore. The company also offers the PZV-plus 4-finger centric gripper.
