Taiwan Robot Show Includes Einstein Robot

Ren C. Luo, Professor of Electrical Engineering Department at the National Taiwan University, has displayed the Einstein Robot at the Taiwan Robot Show.

This robot resembles the young and expressive Einstein of age 27 years, when he revealed his ‘Theory of Relativity’. It can mimic seven distinctive human-like facial expressions like delight, abhorrence and amazement.

Ren C. Luo has stated that a camera system has been incorporated into the robot’s eyes. He added that its face embraces 36 motors and every motor can make 256 positions, thereby imitating various human emotions.

It was reported that Luo and his student team will provide mobility to the robot by developing legs and body.
