Swisslog, a supplier of medication management solutions and automated materials transport recently declared that it has received an agreement from St. Louis-based Amerinet, a national healthcare solutions organization for its autonomous mobile robot and pneumatic tube system.
This agreement lasts for 36-months, which can be availed by Amerinet-member organizations. Through this agreement, Amerinet members can pre-negotiate pricing for Swisslog’s TransLogic pneumatic tube system, its components and also Swisslog’s RoboCourier autonomous mobile robot.
Several patent-pending technological innovations have been incorporated with the TransLogic pneumatic tube system that can satisfy major hospital requirements such as content security, carrier tracking, quiet delivery, and improved ease of use. The reliable, rapid delivery of accurate, patient-specific payloads is capable of supporting various pharmacies, laboratories, nursing and other hospital departments.
RoboCourier minimizes the complexities involved in hospitals during manual transport procedures and in labs that rely on specimen turnaround time. Easy installation of this robotic system can be achieved without the need for facility modification. Assisted by lasers, this system can be deployed for navigation across narrow hallways.
According to North America’s executive VP of Swisslog Healthcare Solutions, Bob Rasmussen, this agreement with Amerinet will enable Swisslog to deliver efficient and versatile pneumatic tube system and autonomous mobile robot. The robotic materials transport solution offers exceptional reliability and a rapid ROI as it minimizes manual transport tasks and provides the patients to have easy access to their medical or related requirements.
