Adept Technology, a supplier of autonomous mobile solutions and intelligent robots, has recently declared that is has received an order worth $1million for its 6-axis robot arms from a German-based Bremer Werk für Montagesysteme (BWM).
Upon delivery, Adept 6-axis robot arms will be employed by BWM in a production line for a major German automotive supplier. The $1 M order will be validated and complied as revenue in the next quarter.
Adept and BWM have been selected as automation partners by the German automotive supplier. Through this partnership, Adept and BWM will provide advanced robotic systems that can be incorporated to the German company’s production process, giving rise to maximum productivity and excellent product quality.
Adept Technology’s Managing Director of European operations, Joachim Melis said that by receiving this order, the company’s reputation regarding Germany-based partnerships and successful business strategy will further be promoted. With advanced, supreme high-precision mechanisms and innovative controls technology, Adept will continue to be an established icon in the automotive supplier industry.
Upon delivery, Adept Viper-s1300 and- s1700D 6-axis robots will carry out assembly application, and will be used as a versatile material handling on an automotive component production line. Adept SmartController CX and distributed controls platform will leverage and control the robots. With the help of SmartController, the customer can better handle the Adept's inherent multi-robot support capabilities, wherein a single controller can command, control and leverage multiple individually-configured robots.
