US based Adept Technology specialising in the development of autonomous mobile solutions and intelligent robots, has introduced a new autonomous transporter of goods called the Adept Courier.
The company will make a demonstration of the new product at MODEX 2012 at Georgia World Congress Centre to be held between February 6th to 9th, 2012.
The Adept Courier uses a self navigational software to move around the office in order to transport materials, samples, goods and parts within the office. The transporter has the ability to manoeuvre around obstacles and can be implemented within a few hours. Installation of the transporter does not require any modifications to be done at the office. A request for the Adept Courier can be made by using a wireless call box, which is located at various operator stations. Delivery for the same can be done by using pre-programmed destination buttons, which can be found on the transporter. The Adept courier enables efficient use of human capital and offers great flexibility in the movement of goods.
It primarily reduces wastage that occurs due to manual handling of goods and materials in terms of transport, motion and waiting. All these issues can be eliminated through the use of Adept Courier as it ensures safe delivery of materials and goods within the scheduled time under any environment.
