St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas Procures Third da Vinci Surgical Robot

St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas has declared the procurement of the third da Vinci surgical robot. The hospital has reported in a press release that from November the surgical robot will be utilized by Dr. Stephen Hensley for gynecology related surgeries.

The da Vinci robot was developed by Intuitive Surgical of Sunnyvale which adopts a minimally invasive method which features easy recuperation, minimum complications and shorter stay in the hospital.

The previously purchased da Vinci robots were used at the hospital’s Edgewood location. Tom Saalfeld, CEO of St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas has stated that these surgical robots will augment the number of surgeries performed at their hospital and also enhance the quality and reputation of their surgical equipments.
