Stanmore Implants Acquires Robotic Medical Company

Stanmore Implants, an orthopedic implant manufacturer, has declared its recent acquisition of Acrobot, a robotic medical device company for an unrevealed amount.

Acrobot is a pioneer in developing robotic systems for surgeons to decide on surgery procedures by means of computers and perform robot-assisted surgeries.

According to Brian Steer, Executive Chairman of Stanmore Implants and an ex-Chairman of Gyrus Group PLC, the acquisition of Acrobot is based on the increased popularity of robot-assisted navigation in orthopedic procedures.
