Dynex Technologies, a pioneer in microplate technology, declared that it has concluded a supply agreement with ZEUS Scientific that enables the latter to integrate the Dynex SmartKit packaging in the ZEUS ELISA products. These products comprise over 50 infectious and autoimmune disease test systems. This is the first agreement between Dynex and the ELISA reagent manufacturer.
The SmartKit ELISA kit packaging provides a streamlined solution to front-end preparation, minimizes time and possibility of data entry errors, enhances ease-of-operation and improves the product offerings of ELISA reagent kit producers.
The SmartKit packaging consists of four key components, which include a two-dimensional barcode that contains lot-specific assay data, consumable bottles of reagents kit, a carrier for holding reagent bottles, and a cap holder for holding reagent bottle caps. After the caps are taken and stacked in the cap holder, the SmartKit is positioned into the Agility system, an advanced automated microplate testing system, for testing.
Dynex will launch the Agility system in the Q3 of 2012. The system leverages ELISA’s main technology in a complete automated platform for accurate ELISA optimization. Advanced robotic processing provides accuracy and removes almost all the manual steps. Dynex had specifically designed the SmartKit inserts for the Agility system. The company provides SmartKit Bronze, Silver and Gold formats to suit specific requirements.
Dynex’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Duane M. Steele informed that ZEUS has selected the SmartKit Gold format that delivers the utmost level of quality assurance in the ELISA market. The SmartKit packaging is reliable, convenient and efficient and offers higher throughput.
