National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) Robotics Division is going to hold a live demonstration of advanced robotic technologies at the Ground Robotics Capabilities Conference & Exhibition.
The event offers a chance to present capabilities to leading decision-makers and senior officials in the field of procurement, development and acquisition for the government and associated industries.
According to Jorgen Pedersen, NDIA Robotics Division, Vice Chair President, and Chief Executive Officer of RE2, watching a live demonstration lends a significant impact on both present competencies and future possibilities. This event presents an opportunity to display these capabilities to people who can take them from the demonstration floor to the field, Pedersen said.
NDIA 2011 Ground Robotics Conference & Expo
Demos that explore the use of robots for other purposes like training, logistics and security, other than existing warfighting solutions, will be encouraged. In addition, the demos must clearly convey this year’s theme, ‘What Will it Take to Achieve the Vision? Requirements, Technology, Acquisition, ROI?’ The Department of Defense has issued four objectives on which the theme is based.
The annual event presents an opportunity to display innovative technologies to government clients, defense robotics OEMs and national defense contractors. Organizations who wish to participate in the event must upload their demonstration concepts by January 31, 2012.
