North American Seminars has sponsored local community children in FIRST LEGO League robotics competition. Once again, this year’s team has attained the second place in Robot Design.
The LEGO Mindstorm package provides an opportunity to students to apply their science and math skills to the real world in a fun and exciting setting. The package consists of LEGO pieces that can be arranged into components. These components can support the microprocessor brain.
Every year, Healthclick’s engineering team sponsors a FIRST LEGO League Team. The aim of the FIRST LEGO League is to bring robotics to young children and develop their interest in science and technology. The FIRST LEGO League Team is guided by the Healthclick team to program an autonomous robot by utilizing the LEGO Mindstorm robot set. The challenge for this year involves food safety and is focused on comprehending what is involved in bringing the food from its origin to the table every day.
Each year, the team prepares well in advance for the state championship. The Healthclick team is enjoying the coaching and participation experience, which provides them an opportunity to help children in understanding the value in science and math skills.
