Windoro, an automated window cleaning robot, which was released at IFA, is now available for sale in the United Kingdom and Ireland. After its launch at IFA in Berlin last year Windoro has received encouraging response from users and has also been voted as the best Product at IFA. The device will be useful for domestic and commercial applications.
Windoro consists of two units, one for cleaning and other for navigation purposes. These two units are bound together by Neodymium magnets, the binding can be adjusted as per the thickness of the window being cleaned. The thickness range that the cleaner can work on ranges between 5 and 25 mm. The device comes with manual and auto glass cleaning features. The remote control option can be used for manually moving the units and for automatically moving it in a zigzag fashion. The device returns to its original position after completing the cleaning and also sounds an alarm after completing cleaning or when the batteries need to be recharged. Windoro with full charge can work continuously for two hours in order to cover a square meter of glass pane. Even after the power is switched off the device stays attached to the glass, thereby ensuring safety of operation.
Operating the device is a simple affair that needs just the pressing of a button. The remote controller can be used for controlling the amount of detergent that is required. There are four micro-fiver pads that enable movement across the window while cleaning it. For first time use, the wheels and rollers have to be cleaned and the bottom navigation unit needs to be checked for presence of foreign objects. The special detergent has to be filled into the inlet of the cleaning unit and the micro-fiber pads are to be attached. Finally switch on the units and place them on either side of the pane. The magnetic intensity that binds the units have to be adjustedand LED indicators will give the user an idea of the magnetic force intensity.
