The HydroBot from Intellibot Robotics has won the ROBIE Award at the RoboBusiness Leadership Summit, which was held between 2-3 November. Intellibot Robotics has shifted its headquarters to Portland, Oregon from Richmond.
The manufacturing and engineering operations however will continue in Virginia. The administration, finance, marketing and sales offices will be situated at the new headquarters. The products manufactured by IntelliBot will serve schools, hospitality services and big box retailers.
The HydroBot was recognised as the most noteworthy product of the year 2011 at the RoboBusiness Leadership Summit and was awarded the ROBIE Award. A team of independent engineers, designers and members of the media were the judges at the Summit. The HydroBot floor cleaner enjoyed the reputation of being the first robot that brought down the labour cost by 80%, enhancing the productivity of the housekeeping teams and effectively bringing down the wastewater and chemical consumption. Some of the other products that IntelliBot has to offer are the AeroBot, vacuum based cleaner, DuoBot, a combination of a scrubber and sweeper. These products from IntelliBot provide Wi-Fi and 3G-enabled communications, wireless reporting available on demand and diagnostics and repair options that are remotely enabled.
