Phase 1 Technology completes 25 years in machine vision technology this year. It has been one of the oldest and most reliable distributors of industrial lenses, cameras, lighting, software, cables and other solutions for factory automation, laboratory purposes, robotics, medical, pharmaceutical and several other industrial applications.
Rusty Ponce de Leon, the president and owner of Phase 1, recollected that they had initially started working with Sony, which was the only company with industrial cameras. Since then they have grown and extended their relationship with numerous top manufacturers like Hitachi, Fujinon, DALSA Teledyne, Pentax, JAI, Tameron and many others.
Phase 1 is currently providing solutions to manufacturers in complex vision applications and technically sophisticated solutions that cater to emerging markets. They focus on delivering latest innovations to their customers. Their products cater to the demands of nanotechnology, alternative energies, automation, robotics and semi-conductor industries. According to Leon, the long-standing relationship with their customers speaks for the quality of service that they have been providing. Phase 1 holds the distinction of supplying most extensive list of cameras, filters, lenses, lighting, image acquisition boards and other vision components. They have been associated with some of the biggest trade organisations in the industry, hence have been able to keep pace with the increasing and changing requirements in machine vision. Rusty is the chairman of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) and a member of the board of the Automated Technology Council. The 25th Anniversary celebrations are scheduled in October.
