Health Robotics has announced that medical dispensing solutions like i.v.STATION, i.v.SOFT, i.v.STATION ONCO would be available for rent. To carry out its new rental plan it has chosen Americorp Financial to help out; Americorp provides assistance in healthcare equipment financing solutions.
The medication dispensing robots from Health Robotics help in preparing, compounding and dispensing medication intravenously by using sterile, tamper-proof IVs. Use of robots in dispensing medication brings down the scope for mistakes and wastage, according to the press release.
Healthcare Institutes in the United States may rent out these robotic systems on a monthly basis, thereby, avoiding the capital expenses on purchase. In order to save costs, pharmacies across the U.S would be given the option of either renting out the robotic solutions or using rent-to-buy financial solutions. Author Jane Jerrard spoke highly of these robotic solutions, which were capable of dispensing medicines without committing errors, in one of her articles. She had written that one of the hospitals in Kirkland observed a drastic reduction in medication dispensing errors by using robotic solutions. The errors were reduced by a margin of 25% after robots took over. The Vice President of Health Robotics explained that in the agreement with Americorp Financial consisted of three-part announcements, first of which would be released in July 2011. This announcement would reveal the company’s current American customers and partners and the status of Health Robotics strategy in replacing McKesson Automation.
