Health Robotics declared that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Macrotech Farmaceutica for its intravenous admixture compounding automation product line.

IV Station Onco

The products that are part of the agreement are i.v.SOFT, i.v.STATION ONCO and i.v.STATION. With this agreement, Health Robotics sets its foot into the Dominican Republic. Over the past two years, Health Robotics has supplied the low-cost and safe intravenous automation line of products to as many as 20 countries.

i.v STATION ONCO is a cancer therapy compounding robot that is used for handling syringes and I.V bags in cancer treatment. The robot is capable of handling pre-attached lines onto the IV bags and it has an extremely small footprint, which is 15-25% lesser than that of conventional robots. The i.v. STATION ONCO is capable of giving 40 doses per hour and it comes with an automatic syringe capping for prevention of tampering. The robot is supported by RFID technology. Joaquin Toribio, the General Manager of Macrotech, stated that they planned to install i.v.STATION and i.v.SOFT Assist in 2011 and i.v.STATION ONCO during the beginning of 2012. He added that the new product line helps in delivering safe and infection-free compounding to their customers.
