Intelligrated, a company that provides automated material handling solutions, offered robotic illustrations and presentations to second grade students from May 16 to 18 at its Alvey Robotics Lab in St. Louis to students belonging to 11 Rockwood School District elementary schools.
Intelligrated has joined hands with Partners in Education to host this event. Partners in Education is a company committed to relating a comprehensive curriculum with hands-on experience. It helps students to explore the future potential in the field of robotics.
An education specialist for Rockwood, Chris Nobbe, stated that these robotic demo sessions will introduce students to many science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) concepts along with practical experiments with robots. He added that the demonstrations will inspire students to pursue a STEM career.
Steve Ackerman, executive VP, Intelligrated stated that it is an exciting phase for the robotics industry and that they hope to cultivate interest in the young generation for robotics.
