Titan Medical and Crouse Hospital have entered into a non-obligatory memorandum of understanding (MOU). Crouse Hospital is a 506 bed critical care hospital situated in Syracuse, NY, which has agreed to test and analyze the Titan Medical’s Amadeus, the next generation surgical robotic platform and provide comprehensive feedback reports.
Dr Reiza Rayman, president of Titan Medical expressed the company’s desire to conduct clinical trials on their Surgical Robotic system, which will be very much possible when they work in close association with Crouse Hospital, a well known name in ambulatory surgery. Dr David M Albala, Urology chief at Crouse Hospital stated that it is an interesting advancement in the field of robotic surgery in New York that will definitely be of great benefit to the immediate community. He also asserted his joy in being one of the selected sites to test Titan Medical’s Robotic Systems. He also said that he has always admired Titan’s contributions to the field and was optimistic that there will be many more such improvements in the future.
Crouse Hospitals, located in Central New York provides maternity care services and specializes in neo-natal intensive care. The hospital also has two surgery facilities specializing in ambulatory surgery programs. Titan Medical specializes in the manufacture of robotic surgical technologies and has developed the Amadeus robot that would enable surgeons to use surgical instruments from a remote location
