Titan Medical has declared that it has entered into a service agreement with the leader in haptic and three-dimensional software simulation, SenseGraphics.
As per the agreement, SenseGraphics would create customized and novel simulation software, which would be integrated with Titan’s Amadeus, which is a next generation robotic surgical system. Moreover, they would also give Titan an exclusive simulation program based on anatomy for a realtime three-dimensional operation.
According to Dr. Reiza Rayman, who is the President of Titan Medical, the company was excited to team up with SenseGraphics who is the foremost developer of simulation software for their new robotic surgery system. SensoGraphics’ CEO, Tommy Forsell stated that it was exciting to be chosen by Titan Medical for developing the simulation software for the Amadeus robotic surgery system.
SenseGraphics with over twenty years in the graphics and haptics industry has developed the H3D platform, which is being utilized by companies such as MedaPhor, Curictus and MOOG. Titan Medical is a public company in Canada currently developing the Amadeus System, which is a four armed robotic surgical system, for helping surgeons to manipulate surgical instruments remotely.
