Robert Scott has expanded its offering with a new advanced floor cleaning robot, the Meta-Scrub 60. Working in collaboration with humans, the Meta-Scrub 60 is designed for effective, autonomous floor cleaning and is the first product of its kind to be added to Robert Scott’s portfolio of high-tech cleaning solutions.
Developed with an industry-leading algorithm, the Meta-Scrub 60 delivers close-edge cleaning with gaps of less than 10 cm from wall surfaces and a zero-degree turning radius, meaning it can access narrow areas that other machines can’t reach. It features 12 sensors to identify, detect and avoid obstacles as small as 5 cm high.
Gavin Holmes, product development manager at Robert Scott, said: “Robert Scott prides itself in manufacturing, sourcing and supplying the very best cleaning solutions to customers. The world of cleaning is advancing at pace with the presence of cobotic solutions across the industry growing, and for good reason. This technology not only provides optimum floor cleaning, but it also increases cleaning operative productivity and enables them to focus on the more complex and detailed jobs; a key benefit amongst ongoing staff level challenges.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Metabots, which takes a truly cleaning-first approach to the emerging technology. The company’s products speak for themselves.”
Ideal for use in large open spaces such as airports, shopping centres, educational settings and stadiums, the Meta-Scrub 60 can be mapped and operated from its control panel onboard, as well as remotely from a laptop or tablet.
Machine maintenance is simple and can be done by the operator onsite, without the need for specialist tools. Wiping and inspecting attachments and flushing out the hose are all that’s required outside of services. The integrated charging station also provides a space for the Meta-Scrub 60 to automatically dump wastewater and refill with clean water.
Robert Scott provides full product training and installation, including mapping the machine for its intended space. Further support and troubleshooting are also available. In addition, Robert Scott has partnered with the UKs leading engineering service provider, Veritek, to offer servicing and repairs across the country.
