ABB Robotics is planning to conduct a one day Laser Processing Workshop at their training center in Auburn Hills in Michigan between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on the 27th of April, 2011, which would be open and free of charge to qualified metal fabrication personnel working in manufacturing companies.
The workshop would expose the users of laser technologies to robotic laser practices, investment justification factors, application pitfalls, and to deliberate on how robotic laser technology would assist in their specific operations.
The workshop will include detailed presentations given by the laser experts in ABB Robotics and include sessions by technical experts from companies such as IPG Photonics, Precitec, RoboVent and Laser Mechanisms. Robotic laser technology is now being used in different fabrication segments, especially those who use hydroform components, hot-stamp steels, tubular parts and traditional flat sheet cutting. The course would also incorporate live process demonstrations, presentations, coverage of the advanced software tools that permit extreme flexibility and equipment reviews. The participants would be given a reference kit, which has workshop transcripts and relevant resources.
According to Joe Campbell, who is the Vice President of ABB Robot Products Group in the US, some of the best resources in the industry had been roped in and for the attendees, this course would prove to be of great benefit. He further stated that this event was essential for people who would like to use robots in their laser technology operations to make them more profitable and flexible.
