According to the Robotic Industries Association (RIA) and Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the two sponsors of the event, the Automate 2011 show in Chicago, which is to be held from March 21st to March 24th is to display a broad range of automation solutions, which has been designed for companies in all the industries.
According to Jeff Burnstein, who is the President of both AIA and RIA, the visitors on entering the exhibition would see solutions and applications integrating robots, motion control, machine vision and other automation technologies, which have been displayed front and center. The solutions, which are on display would include automated test systems for the gaming industry, pharmaceutical vial inspection, layer forming, robotic machine loading and unloading, vision guided robotic flexible feeding, laser welding, palletizing, packing among others. Over 20 of the foremost integrators are expected to take part in the Integrated Solutions Center.
An in-depth conference on the successful application of motion, machine vision and robotics solutions would also be conducted in the Automate 2011. Burnstein reveals that by combining both the opportunity to observe and learn the best way to utilize the solutions during the conference, the Automate 2011 offers a unique opportunity for companies who are interested in using automation to beat their competitors. The keynote speakers and the roundtable discussions are noteworthy..
Speakers from GM and NASA would on 22nd March present their latest innovation the Robonaut 2 (R2) which is the newest version of the robonaut astronaut helpers, also the first humanoid robot in space. The program would show how successful the collaboration between the industry and the government worked on technology transfer. The global leaders would also discuss the future trends in the robotics industry during the IFR CEO Round Table on the same day.
