Neptec Design Group Wins NASA Quality and Excellence Award

NASA’s highest honor, the George M. Low Awards, has been bestowed on Neptec Design Group located in Kanata.

This award was presented to Dr. Iain Christie, President of Neptec at the PM Challenge Conference in California organized by NASA. According to Christie, they were able to develop all their systems and hence become eligible for the award only because of the 15 years of experience gained by working with NASA.

Steve MacLean, President of the Canadian Space Agency commented that the Canadian Space Agency was proud of the International and national recognition gained by Neptec as it is the first non-US company to receive this award.

Dr. Christie commented that being the first non-US company to be awarded was also a reflection on NASA’s values. Being a partner in NASA’s program and being a team member made them understand how unimportant was where they had come from and more important was the work being done by them. Dr. Christie was still trying to find out a suitable place for displaying the impressive trophy with a medallion and an inscription, which reveals that the medallion includes a piece of artifact that was flown in Apollo II, a spacecraft that had gone to the Moon and back.
