ZMP, developer of PINO, the Humanoid, has created a two-wheeled robot called the e-Nuvo WHEEL, which comes equipped with self-balancing skills.
ZMP‘s e-Nuvo WHEEL that was launched in Japan last week proves to be a useful tool for helping students and engineers to develop and build their own robots.
The e-Nuvo WHEEL is a compact battery-powered robot that stands 50cm tall on two wheels. It weighs around 6kg and requires no extra support to stand by itself. The first model of the e-Nuvo WHEEL was released back in 2006. ZMP’s e-Nuvo WHEEL can be used for research by students with physics and engineering background.
The simple design of the e-Nuvo WHEEL empowers it to traverse successfully through irregular and smooth surfaces. The e-Nuvo WHEEL can prove useful for helping students with their academic needs as it comes equipped with a camera for studying.
