Qwest Field Events Center to Host FIRST Seattle Robotics Contest

Around 100 robotics teams will participate in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Seattle Robotics Contest, which will be held at the Qwest Field Events Center between March 18 and 19, 2011.

RAMbots, Wenatchee-based new 4-H club, and Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center students are working on developing and programming their robots at the cellar of the Chelan County Courthouse.

The Wenatchee World has mentioned that the contesting robots need to suspend inflatable pipes on wall hooks. Points are awarded based on the height of the peg from the ground. In the final 15 seconds of the competition, every robot of the team will use a small robot for climbing a pole measuring 10 feet.
