Talons Robotics Team Wins Inspire Award in FTC Regional Qualifier

‘The Talons’, robotics team formed by the students of South River High School junior varsity, received the Inspire Award at the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) regional qualifier organized at Penn State's York campus. The contest was participated by 18 teams.

The Talons team was placed in the ninth position and Junior PowerHawks, another team from the South River High School won the tenth place in the qualifier. The Junior PowerHawks team was one of the nominees for the Motivate and Connect awards.

The Talons team was selected as partners by the fourth seeded alliance. But the first-seeded alliance won over the Talons alliance in the semifinal. However, the Inspire Award enabled Talons team to participate in the state level contest, which will be conducted in Weatherly on March 5.
