Tell us about the company and why you are attending SEMICON WEST 2018.
First of all, my name is Kevin Welsh and I'm the marketing director for Simplimatic Automation. Simplimatic Automation is here at SemiCon West to display a lot of our different robotic automation capabilities, as well as our material handling capabilities.

Which products are you highlighting at this year’s event and why?
We are here to show off our phenic scara robot, as well as a mobile industrial AGV robot. These AGVs are AMRs or autonomous mobile robots that are used in factories to move products from one place to another, whether that's picking and placing from a tray, or moving an entire shelf from one location to another inside of a factory.
What sets these models apart from other products on the market?
The SR3IA (phenic scara) product itself is a nice high-speed application for moving robots around. The Scara itself is awesome for moving product very quickly from one place to another. Whereas the mira robot it's a nice low-cost alternative to a few other AMRs that are on the market.
Which industries will benefit from these products?
For the mira 100 robot, industries love it because they don’t need a lot of human capital to move parts around. The robot will automatically drive to a location pick up a cart and then very easily move it between locations.
