Fury 1500 UAS Capable of Supporting Multiple Payloads

AME Unmanned Air Systems has declared that the Fury 1500 Special Mission UAS has achieved a successful 14.2 hour flight. The Fury 1500 was manufactured at the company’s San Luis Obispo facility.

Controlled using the SharkFin mission management software, the new flight log strengthens the Fury 1500’s position as a payload tactical and runway-independent unmanned air system. It features a large payload capacity, high power-to-payload and an advanced fuel propulsion system to simultaneously support multiple payloads and provide multi-mission capability to the warfighter.

The Fury 1500 is designed to provide the warfighter with various mission scenarios and to address multiple requirements. It has been designed to endure longer missions. Its first flight was recorded in November last year. A more powerful launcher has been provided to eliminate altitude and wind constraints.

The President of AME Unmanned Air Systems, John Purvis stated that the Fury 1500 has accumulated more than 109 hours over the last 45 days and is expected to achieve more than 16 flight hours. Purvis also added that improvements are being made in its heavy-fuel propulsion unit.

The Chairman of the company, Jay McConville stated that the Fury 1500 along with its SharkFin control system will soon provide advance capabilities to the navy, special mission and navy customers. The Fury 1500 has a small footprint and features multi-INT capabilities that improves mission capabilities for maritime and land use. It can also be integrated with intelligence and C2 systems.
