Adept MobileRobots will display and demonstrate its line of intelligent robots and research systems at the 2011 IEEE/RSJ International Conference held at San Francisco. The conference is being held to celebrate 50 years of robotics.
Adept MobileRobots will exhibit its range of products, which include the Maveric RC aerial research platform and the Aqua2 autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). While the Maveric RC is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which is independent, single-man operable and portable and can be launched immediately, the Aqua2 autonomous AUV has the ability to manoeuvre efficiently using its six fins. Maveric RC is produced by military reconnaissance technology provider Prioria and the Aqua2 AUV is being manufactured by Independent Robotics.
The company will also demonstrate other platforms such as the Seekur Jr. along with the Terabot-S-Arm and the Pioneer 3-DX along with a Cyton arm. The Terabot-S-Arm is a robotic arm weighing less and able to lift heavy objects. This arm is attached to a platform that can be used in all types of weather. The Pioneer 3-DX uses a combination of the popular research platform and a durable 7-DOF manipulator.
Pioneer 3-AT, Guiabot and Amigobot will also be displayed by the company along with software tools that can be used during all phases of development such as navigation and communication. The 2011 IEEE conference is the most important conference held in the area of robotics and invites leading researchers, students, entrepreneurs and software developers.
